ナマステ協会代表である高野がネパール滞在中に地域の緑化計画プロジェクトに参加しました。

「地球温暖化を防止しよう！」という運動がネパールでも盛んに行われています。

そして苗木を山々に植える活動を行ってきました。

この度、Dr. Narayan Khadka（ネパール政府都市開発省）から表彰されました。

Our chairman Yukio Takano participated in a greenery project in during his visit in Kathmandu Nepal.

"Let's stop global warming."

This is the message from Nepal.

We have planted nersery trees in mountains.

NPO Nepal namasute association co-sponsored this project to save our world.

With our participation of this project on behalf of Japan,

Namaste Association has been recognized by Dr. Narayan Khadka, the minister of urban development government of Nepal.

It was our 8th language exchange session with three Nepalese students and three Japanese.

Some of them have attended already several times and the members of those regular participants are getting set.

As always starting from us(Japanese members) teaching Nepalese students our conversational phrases on a particular topic,

Then in exchange, Nepalese students teach us their phrases in Nepalese.

This assembly doesn't charge anything, just want anyone to feel free to join this once-a-week session every Tuesday at 18:00.

This day, because one of our Japanese members is leaving for Nepal for a couple of weeks,

we had a drinking party after the session here in Billy Barew's Beer Bar whose branch is also in Kathmandu.

日本は深刻な労働者不足の中、こういった留学生の労働力がこれからもっともっと必要となるでしょう。

本日6月28日（土曜日）、原歯科医院の原慎一先生に当協会事務所にお越しいただき、

ナマステ会員に対して無料の歯科診断を行って頂きました。

Today the 28th June, we had Dr.Hara at our Namaste office to provide free dental checkup for namaste members. 

本日の参加者は約20名。

留学生にとってはとても有り難い機会となりました。ありがとうございました。

About 20 namaste members gathered to take a checkup,

it was truely a good opportunity especially for those international students.

またこの無料の歯科診断は毎月恒例行事として行っていただける予定となっています。

来月は26日（土曜日）の14時〜16時でお時間を頂いております。

原慎一先生からのメッセージ｜Message from Dr.Hara

日本食は人工甘味料などの影響で虫歯になりやすく、また環境や食事の変化が影響して歯肉炎や歯周病などにかかっている人が多く見られました。歯は早めのクリーニングで予防できます。

Gingivitis and periodontal disease are found in many of today's students. This may come from the change of life style and food, and it might be easy to get decayed tooth for eating Japanese foods that have artificial sweeteners or other suger substitutes.

第2回目の語学交流会（ネパール語×日本語）を行いました！

今回は2名の日本人女性が参加してくれました。

ネパールからは、ロメオ君、今年4月に日本に来たばかりの留学生です。

今回はネパール人6名ほどの参加予定がありましたが、直前になって来られずに、

結局ネパールからは一人の参加でした。

ロメオ君、美しい女性二人を前にして初めはちょっと緊張気味でしたが、最後には結構馴染んでいました。

実はネパール人って日本人以上にシャイな人が多くて、特に異性を前にするとおとなしくなってしまう人がとても多いのです。

なんだか中学生の時を思い出しますね（笑）

こんな具合で、とても小規模ながらぼちぼちやってる語学交流会。

From 12th June 2014, Namaste Association will be conducting a Career Guidance for Nepali in Japan every 2nd Thursday!

This assembly is for both Nepali students and workers to have a chance to get a financial stability in their livelihood of Japan by helping them match to some good companies.

ナマステ会員限定で無料歯科診断を提供

小林デンタルクリニックの院長である小林裕明先生が当協会に賛助会員として登録されたことから、まずは6月22日に無料でナマステ会員に対して無料で歯科診断を行って頂けることになりました。

5月21日、始めての語学交流（Language Exchange）を日本に4月に来たばかりのネパール人留学生と我々日本人とで行いました。

まずは簡単な挨拶言葉から。

Language Exchangeは基本的に英語を使って行います。

そして、「初めてあった人との挨拶の場面」など

それぞれのシチュエーションを想定して、ネパール語で話します。

そしてそれと同じことを今度は日本語で行います。

この会を進行するのは私、ドクターＤイングリッシュの代表講師Dr.Dです。

今回は始めての試みでどうやって進めればよいのかを模索しながら行いましたが、

この方法で意外とお互いに盛り上がることが出来ましたので、こんな感じで進めていこうかと思います。

日本に留学に来る様なネパール人は殆どみんな英語を普通に話します。

ですのでこの会に参加することで英語の練習にもなります。

英語を使って簡単なネパール語やその文化を学び、

また日本語を教えてみたいという方は是非ともご参加下さい。

Background of Japanese College Admission

Since late 2013, the number applicants for admission to Japanese colleges from Nepal is soaring almost 10 times than the previous year. Therefore most colleges in Japan now have trouble placing that large number of Nepali students in their college. And so does immigration and they have applied more strict creening process, since then the COE (certificate of eligibility for resident status) approval rate has plummeted roughly from 70% in 2013 to 60% in 2014.

As for colleges, they have been also forced to limit the admission number of Nepali students as well as applying more strict screening process with the confirmation of financial activities, academic record and interviewing students (and sometimes thier parents too) face to face by using a video chat application such as Skype. 

Accordingly, decent preparation ever before is required for Nepali applicants for admission, and we would like to support and give a proper guidance for those eager to come to Japan with a student visa. The following is the schedule of the guidance.

学生ビザ取得の背景

2013年後半以降、ネパールからの在留資格認定書の申請者数は前年度のおよそ10倍にも膨れ上がって、いまや日本語学校業界は空前のネパールバブルとなっています。そして留学生を受け入れる殆どの日本語教育機関はその膨大な申請者を持て余しており、また入管管理局も在留資格認定書の審査がとても厳しくなってきています。前年度のネパール人認定書交付率はおよそ70%で、最近では60%程度まで落ち込んでいます。

留学生受け入れ教育機関としても、受け入れる人数を制限しなくてはならず、また同時に今までよりも厳しい審査を行うこととなります。とくに経費支弁者の経済状況や学歴の認証確認、スカイプなどを使った直接顔を合わせたインタビューも時には申請人の親の同伴をお願いする場合もあります。

よって日本留学を希望するネパール人学生にとってはこれまで以上の準備を要し、私達も出来る限りのサポートと申請に関する的確なアドバイスを行い、より多くの優秀なネパール人学生が日本に留学できるようにバックアップしていきたいと思っています。以下、ガイダンスのスケジュールを記します。
